A book review

In this post, I'm going to write a book review. This is a very important book for me.

It's called "Of Mice and Men", which was translated as "Fareler ve İnsanlar" into Turkish. It is a short novel. It was written by John Steinbeck, who is a famous American author. It was first published in 1937, and it originally has got 107 pages.

The main characters of the book are George and Lennie. George is short, but he is a strong man. Also, he is Lennie's best friend. On the other hand, Lennie is very tall and very strong, but he is mentally disabled. In other words, he is like a baby. He cannot do anything without George's help. He always asks George before he does something.

George and Lennie live together. They have a dream; they want to make a lot of money and buy a farm and live there happily ever after. For this, they need to work. So, they go to a big farm and start to work there. However, Lennie's mental disability causes some big problems in the farm.

I love this book, and it is one of my favourite novels. Strong points of the book is the characters and the plot. The main characters, George and Lennie, are very well developed. You can feel the bond between them. And the most important part is the plot. It has got a shocking ending. The weak point is that some events develop too fast. However, I strongly recommend it to you if you like novels about friendship. By the way, if you have read Cengiz Aytmatov's "Beyaz Gemi" and liked it, then you must definitely read this book too.
